In the wake of European legislation in Rome, law was compared to art. The sence of justice is the prerequisite of lawyer's art, just like the sense of colour is for artists. Art and legislation is united by talent, love for one's job and drive for ideals. And, of course, good work is possible only with inspiration.

Lauris has advised on several major investment projects, mergers and acquisitions in Latvia.

Lauris served as legal counsel for an international bank in Riga and in a law firm, before establishing his own law Office in 1999. Since graduating from law school he has lectured at the University of Latvia and at the Riga Graduate School of Law. Lauris is a member of several Non-Governmental and Public Organizations. He participates in the activities of Latvian Venture Captial Association (http://www.lvca.lv/eng/members.php) and is a member of NASDAQ OMX Riga Surveillance Committee (http://www.nasdaqomxbaltic.com/?id=2023750). Since 2007 Lauris Liepa is a member of the Commission on Constitutional Law established by the President of Latvia (http://www.president.lv/pk/content/?cat_id=2896&lng=en).
